Bitel Peru Access Point Settings for 3G/4G Activation

When we acquire a free or unlocked cell phone from any operator, as well as if we do a room change or reset of all notifications. We can perform some actions in a normal way like calling and sending/receiving messages. But on many occasions, this does not happen when we want to surf the internet using our data package.

Why is this? This is due to the lack of data on our mobile operator’s Internet APN. APN is the basic network configuration our phone, needs to identify itself in the operator’s network and thus be able to surf the Internet. In this series of tutorials, we will teach you how to configure 4G LTE APN for the Internet connection of various mobile operators of the world. In this article, we will focus on how to configure Bitel 4G Internet APN and Bitel MMS. let’s get started!

Bitel Peru Access Point Settings

Here are Bitel Peru Access Point Settings for 3G and 4G data connection. You can activate your package plan to use internet after activating of these settings.

  1. The first thing we will do is to enter the settings of our Android terminal 
  2. In the “Connections in Wireless Connections and Networks” section, select “
  3. Then we select “Mobile Network” and then “APN”
  4. In this new screen, we can create multiple APNs, but we will create only two APNs (an Internet APN and an APN for MMS multimedia messages) as they are required to connect to and surf the Internet.
  5. To create the first Internet APN, we will press the “+” button in the upper right corner (as we see in the image) and we will fill the field with the data below:

  • Name: Bitel Internet
  • APN: Bitel.pe
  • Proxy: empty
  • Port: 8000
  • Username: empty
  • Password: empty
  • Authentication Protocol: PAP
  • Server: empty
  • MMSC: empty
  • MMS Proxy: empty
  • MMS port: 8080
  • MCC: 716
  • MNC: 15

Any other field not mentioned in the list above, we leave it blank or as it is. After completing the data in the above fields, in the upper right corner, we press the button with three dots and finally “Save”.Finally, to verify our Internet connection, we activate the Settings menu, Wireless Networks and Networks, Data Usage and Mobile Data Boxes.

We will finally verify that we are connected to the Internet when E or H appear at the top of the signal level based on the 2G or 3G coverage area, respectively. Alternatively, we can also create an additional APN to configure multimedia messaging (MMS) parameters. To do this, click the + button in the top right corner and complete the information below:

  • Name: Bitel MMS
  • APN: Bitel-MMS
  • Proxy: empty
  • Port: 8000
  • Username: Empty
  • Password: empty
  • Server: empty
  • MMS Proxy: empty
  • MMS port: 8000
  • MCC: 716
  • MNC: 15

After completing the data in the mentioned fields, in the upper right corner, we press the button with three dots and finally “Save”. And as such, when configuring Bitel APN Internet and MMS profiles, we will be able to surf the Internet through our data packages and send/receive MMS multimedia messages.
